Step back in time

The Job Lane House is Bedford's colonial treasure. Built around 1713 by one of Bedford's founding families, it has been beautifully restored. Guides in colonial dress give tours. Click here to see tour dates.

We are especially proud of the Rufus Porter murals in the parlor.

Click here to learn the history of the house and its owners through time.

Our Gift Shop is open on tour days. Come and shop any time, whether or not you plan to stay for a tour or event.

Coming events

Sunday, October 8, 2-4 PM. Decorate a kite! Colonial Who says kites are for Spring only? These Frustrationless Flyers fairly leap into the air all year 'round, and they are a joy to color! Decorate one all you like, and then send your artwork aloft! (We're asking $5 to cover the cost of the kite).

We are open for house tours on 2nd and 4th Sundays, May through October, from 2-4 PM. Suggested donation $4/person, $10/family.

SECOND SUNDAYS ARE FAMILY EVENT DAYS!
